Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks a Product Developer - Modular for its data center team. You will translate customer requirements into specific product features, geometry, and functions, under the Senior Product Developer, and help prepare development schedules, drawings, submittals, and BOMs.

You will gather data from vendors, review equipment submittals, and collaborate in team meetings to drive cost savings and design best practices while maintaining documentation in MS Project and other tools.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Certificate in engineering drafting or design with 3–5 years in product development in industrial manufacturing.
• 3–5 years as a licensed journeyman electrician in modular building infra components; or 3–5 years as a PM for electrical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sketches or drawings.
• Equipment submittal review and implementation.
• Packaging product submittals.
• Writing design narratives.
• Producing and maintaining a development schedule in MS Project.
• Obtaining product data from vendors or manufacturers.
• Producing a bill of material.
• Participating in team meetings.
• Presenting solution ideas during team meetings.
• Conducting research on processes, materials or manufacturers.
• Collaborating with peer product developers on design best practices.
• Innovatively create cost savings opportunities.
