Job summary

Futura is seeking a Designer & Detailer to take modular data center designs from engineering concept to fabrication-ready packages. You will detail structures, skids and piping for a manufacturing environment, enforcing libraries and templates to speed subsequent units.

The role emphasizes drawing accuracy, weld symbols and bolt callouts, enabling shops to build from the package with minimal questions. Relocation assistance is provided for non-locals.

Qualifications

• Detailing for fabrication of structural steel, skids, piping or modular assemblies.
• Ability to produce complete drawing packages for shop use.
• Experience modeling to standards with clean libraries and templates.
• Experience handling revision storms and ensuring correct released packages.
• Understanding welds, tolerances, and fabrication clearances.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings for factory builds, covering structures, skids, piping and assemblies.
• Detail steel and mechanical systems to fabrication level with weld symbols and bolt callouts.
• Update drawing packages from engineering changes with clean revision history.
• Enforce standards, libraries and templates to speed upcoming units.
• Absorb rapid changes across in-flight units without losing revision control.
• Turn designs into fabrication-ready packages that shops can build without calls.
