Job summary

Eaton’s Fibrebond team in Minden, LA is seeking a Construction Assembler who enjoys hands-on work and has an interest in manufacturing or construction. You will join a production crew and use hand and power tools to assemble wall systems and components.

The role requires reading blueprints, following drawings, maintaining safety, and delivering quality products on time. The schedule averages about 54 hours per week with overtime every other Saturday; starting pay is $16.50 to $19.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefits provided. Only candidates within 50-mile radius of Minden, LA facility will be considered.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work areas and buildings are clean and free of debris.
• Assist reading and interpreting blueprints to determine placement of carpentry and structural components.
• Assist in cutting wall paneling and other carpentry components using various saws.
• Apply glue to plywood and install walls and floors per specifications.
• Install walls, ceiling paneling, and moldings using adhesives, fasteners, hand tools, and power tools.
• Load and position wall panels and components during the assembly process.
• Perform work involving insulation and cement as required by the build process.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor.
• Observe housekeeping and safety procedures, maintaining 5S and continuous improvement mindset.
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to leadership.
