Job summary

Eaton's Fibrebond team in Minden, LA seeks a Mechanical Technician to support building systems installation, grounding, and generator work. You will read BOMs, interpret prints, install cable trays, waveguides, and air-handling components, and use hand tools as needed.

Core hours average 54 per week, with overtime on Saturdays; forklift operation and tool use required; requires a HS diploma or GED and residency within ~50 miles of Minden.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• U.S. work eligibility; Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Minden, LA will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets BOMs to obtain correct parts for each building.
• Measures and cuts cable trays with portable band saw according to prints.
• Installs generator pans, piping, and exhaust systems as per prints.
• Operates forklift to position generators and equipment.
• Reads blueprints to determine grounding, cable tray layout and mounting locations.
• Installs air conditioning units, louvers, dampers and related hardware.
