Job Description

This position involves teaching in a substantially separate classroom while creating opportunities for meaningful inclusion.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • MA DESE Moderate Special Education Licensure, grades K‑5.
  • Knowledge of IEP regulations (ESped experience desirable).
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities; experience with students with Autism preferable.
  • Knowledge of ABA programming a plus.
  • Experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Ability to develop meaningful, standards‑based lesson plans.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Duties
  • Work directly with students on the Autism spectrum implementing an ABA‑based curriculum with consultation from BCBA staff.
  • Direct paraprofessionals in carrying out discrete trials teaching and functional language‑based programming.
  • Teach basic math, reading, and written language skills.
  • Complete MCAS alternate assessments.
  • Collaborate with service providers and general education teachers.

Salary

$50,954 to $97,434 per teacher’s contract
