Job summary

Young World Physical Education is hiring a Moderate Special Education Teacher for Kittredge Elementary School in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. The role involves teaching in a separate classroom, focusing on students with Autism while collaborating closely with other educators and service providers.

Qualifications

• MA DESE Moderate Special Education Licensure required.
• Knowledge of IEP regulations, particularly ESPed experience.
• Experience working with students with Autism is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a substantially separate classroom for students on the Autism spectrum.
• Implement ABA-based curriculum with BCBA staff consultation.
• Direct paraprofessionals during discrete trials teaching.
• Teach basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Collaborate with service providers and general education teachers.

Skills

MA DESE Moderate Special Education Licensure, grades K‑5

Knowledge of IEP regulations

Experience with students with disabilities

Knowledge of ABA programming

Experience with Behavior Intervention Plans

Ability to develop standards-based lesson plans

Master’s degree
