Job summary

TIMET, a PCC subsidiary, seeks a senior deformation modeling specialist to coordinate global modeling efforts and drive advanced simulation tool usage in titanium manufacturing. This role focuses on titanium deformation processes, microstructure prediction, and ICME methodologies within TIMET and PCC teams.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Masters in metals/materials with relevant industrial experience, and can collaborate with software vendors and plant users to deliver metallurgical support

Qualifications

• PhD or Masters in metals/materials with deformation modeling experience.
• Experience with deformation modeling of aerospace materials, titanium preferred.
• Experience with DEFORM numerical modeling.
• Industrial experience with modeling applications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate TIMET's global deformation modeling efforts and validate simulation tools.
• Develop microstructure prediction tools and ICME methodologies.
• Represent TIMET in PCC modeling teams and with software vendors.
• Provide metallurgical support to operations and customers.
• Manage TIMET’s internal databases for modeling.
• Support plant-based users of modeling software.
