Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Scientist in Modeling & Simulation to support clinical pharmacology programs. You will build PK/PD and exposure–response models, conduct advanced analyses, and contribute to dose selection across therapeutic areas.

The role requires a PhD/MD/PharmD with extensive modeling experience and proficiency in NONMEM, SAS, R, STAN, and MATLAB, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD with relevant modeling experience or higher degree with PK/PD exposure.
• Strong background in pharmacometrics and exposure–response analyses.
• Experience with population PK/PD and Bayesian methods.

Responsibilities

• Build pharmacostatistical models for PK/PD and exposure–response analyses.
• Conduct binary and time-to-event data analyses and Bayesian approaches.
• Perform meta-analysis using proprietary or literature data.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to inform dose selection and study design.
• Contribute to clinical pharmacology strategy and project plans.
• Generate modeling reports and support regulatory submissions.
