Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing and deploying simulation models across multiple domains.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow expertise with co-simulation experience.
• Fundamental understanding of electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
• Fundamental understanding of vehicle dynamics including longitudinal, lateral, and vertical motion.
• Familiarity with automotive networks (CAN/LIN/ Automotive Ethernet).
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 1D simulation models for multi-domain control performance.
• Design virtual development frameworks for testing and validation using tools like CarMaker and SCANeR.
• Collaborate on HIL system architecture and real-time validation of embedded control systems.
• Create comprehensive test cases for validation in the HIL environment.
• Support transition of novel algorithms from simulation to prototyping or embedded hardware.
• Assist in-vehicle testing and tuning at NA proving grounds or off-road facilities when needed.
• Identify new technologies and methods to improve drivability of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis EVs.
• Support NA HQ with EV drivability inquiries and issues.
• Create and present technical status reports.
