Job summary

Leidos Inc seeks a Modeling Engineer to lead 3D BIM modeling of complex facilities and to bridge field data with high-fidelity analytical models. You will guide LiDAR field surveys, manage cross-domain data transfers, and deliver spatial visualizations to DoD stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive BIM and LiDAR experience, with TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in structural or systems modeling. Reston/VA location; competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to maintain it while employed.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 12–15 years of relevant prior experience; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in structural or systems modeling, BIM workflows, and facility spatial analysis.
• Proficiency with major modeling software listed above.
• Hands-on LiDAR and photogrammetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed 3D BIM models of complex facilities including structural framing and utilities.
• Map system connectivity and HVAC/MEP, power, and equipment relationships.
• Convert operational data into spatial models for vulnerability simulations.
• Conduct field surveys using LiDAR, photogrammetry, and scanning workflows.
• Manage cross-domain data transfer across unclassified to TS/SCI networks.
• Deliver briefs and spatial visualizations to DoD decision-makers.
