Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Modeling Engineer to support critical national security missions for DoD agencies. This role focuses on advanced 3D BIM modeling of facilities and critical infrastructure to enable vulnerability assessments and defense planning.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 12–15 years of relevant experience; master’s preferred.
• Strong experience with BIM workflows and facility spatial analysis.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Bentley/OpenBuildings or MicroStation.
• Hands-on experience with LiDAR data processing tools (ReCap, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, CloudCompare).

Responsibilities

• Build detailed 3D BIM models of complex facilities and systems.
• Lead field surveys using LiDAR and photogrammetry; manage data across unclassified and TS/SCI networks.
• Coordinate cross-domain data and maintain security controls for classification levels.
• Deliver technical briefs and spatial analyses to DoD decision-makers.
• Collaborate with analysts to support vulnerability and defeat assessment pipelines.
