Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia, is seeking an Engineer Drafter to develop and modify detailed engineering drawings, models, and documentation supporting facility and infrastructure analysis. You will use CAD/CAM tools, BIM platforms, and 3D models across multiple disciplines to produce accurate representations of complex systems.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a relevant degree, and experience with BIM standards, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• In-scope TS/SCI polygraph clearance required and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s with less experience.
• Experience with BIM/architectural models and engineering documentation.
• Ability to brief senior officials and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models and 2D CAD drawings across engineering disciplines.
• Create and modify engineering drawings with CAD/CAM tools and BIM platforms.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Audit models for data integrity and compliance with BIM standards (LOD).
• Generate technical reports, measurements, and schedules from models.
• Support technical analyses and client reviews in formal meetings.
• Contribute to BIM libraries, templates, and documentation workflows.
