Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Mobility Web Experience Engineering organization, delivering scalable web applications and experiences for thousands of mobility customer interactions.

You will mentor engineering managers and engineers, partner with Product, Design, Security, and Infrastructure, and drive architectural vision for modern web platforms. This remote role requires residency within 30 miles of Seattle, WA or other listed locations; you will champion

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience.
4+ years of engineering management experience leading software teams.
Experience with Angular/React and micro-frontend architectures.
Strong understanding of modern web architectures, SPAs, and micro-frontend patterns.
Security, privacy, authentication, authorization, and data protection knowledge for web apps.
Experience using automation and AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and velocity.
Strong people leadership including hiring, coaching, and career development.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and lead organizational and technical change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder influence.
Experience using analytics and customer insights to inform product decisions.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the long-term engineering strategy for the Mobility Web Experience.
Partner with architects and leaders to define technical vision and architecture for the web platform.
Develop and maintain the engineering roadmap aligned to business priorities.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence.
Improve engineering processes to increase delivery velocity, quality, and productivity.
Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution across teams.
Collaborate with Product, UX, and leadership to prioritize investments and customer-centric web experiences.
Establish and monitor engineering metrics to improve delivery, quality, reliability, and team effectiveness.
Drive planning, sprint reviews, and roadmap governance for continuous improvement.
Partner to maintain a healthy roadmap with measurable OKRs.
Collaborate across Mobility teams to promote reusable platforms and best practices.
Hire, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering managers and software engineers.
Provide coaching and career development to help team members reach potential.
Manage team capacity and staffing to deliver strategic priorities.
Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
