WEX, Inc. seeks a seasoned Manager of Engineering for the Mobility Engineering group to lead the 10-4 by WEX product. You will guide mobile and backend systems, drive a cross-functional roadmap, and partner with sales and product to align priorities across USA and Brazil.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, building scalable distributed services, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 10+ years of software engineering with 4+ years in engineering management.
• Hands-on mobile development experience (iOS/Android or cross-platform).
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and testing for performance.
• Ability to automate scaffolding code and tests using AI.

Responsibilities

• Develop, drive, and execute a long-term vision and strategy for the 10-4 by WEX product.
• Prioritize customer requirements with product and commercial partners.
• Maintain a robust engineering roadmap with clear OKRs.
• Lead end-to-end technical project execution from concept to deployment.
• Drive cross-team engineering projects as a single-threaded owner (STO).
• Establish metrics-driven development productivity across the team.
• Hire, lead, and grow high-performance engineers with career growth plans.
