Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a Mobility Technician to support the Nursing Unit by mobilizing patients, assisting with meals and daily ambulation, and using a variety of safe patient handling equipment.
The role requires competency with adult and geriatric patients, equipment like wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, and beds; adherence to hospital policies; and effective communication with nursing staff.
Summary
The Mobility Technicianis responsible forprovidinggeneral supportto the efficient function of the Nursing Unit through the mobility of patients out of bed daily for all meals and daily ambulation, while using a variety of equipment to ensure safety.The Technician mustdemonstratecompetency in handling adult and geriatric patients, competency in all safe patient handling equipment andis responsible foradherence to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center’s regulations,policiesand procedures.

Education andExperience
Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:Previousexperience as a Rehabilitation Technician, Care Partner or as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Basic Life Support Certification-BLS
High School or better.
Basic Life Saving
