Job summary

Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus is seeking a Mobility Tech to support patient mobility, bed mobility, transfers, and positioning using the MOVE protocol under nursing and therapy supervision. The role is part-time (32 hours per week) with weekday shifts, every other weekend, and one holiday.

You will document routine care, educate patients on mobility and fall prevention, collaborate with the mobility team, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year acute care or hospital patient care or rehabilitation preferred.
• CPR certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility opportunities (bed mobility, upright sitting, transfers, wheelchair use, ambulation) using MOVE protocol.
• Report and document routine care and any condition/behavior changes to team and unit staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and use safety alarms as needed.
• Educate patients on mobility importance, vertical positioning, fall prevention using video, print, demos, and verbal instruction.
• Collaborate with patient and mobility team for MOVE progression.
• Take initiative to complete work and meet productivity standards.
