Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is seeking a Mobility Technician to assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ADLs in acute care units. PRN, part-time as needed with weekend shifts; two weekend dates per month required. Provides MOVE protocol education and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure safety and patient satisfaction.

Requires High School Diploma or GED and CPR certification; 1 year acute care experience preferred; travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year acute care/hospital/patient care/rehabilitation preferred.
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility opportunities for patients, including bed mobility, upright sitting, transfers and ambulation.
• Report and document routine care and any changes to the team and unit staff.
• Educate patients about mobility, vertical positioning, fall prevention using multiple formats.
• Collaborate with mobility team for MOVE progression and safety.
• Take initiative to complete work and meet productivity standards.
