Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day U.S. relocation cases in partnership with the organization's relocation management provider.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees throughout the mobility and relocation process.
• Evaluate complex relocation scenarios involving tax, immigration, payroll, home-sale and home-purchase considerations.
• Translate technical mobility concepts into practical guidance for employees, candidates and business stakeholders.
• Support the immigration case lifecycle for foreign-national candidates and employees in partnership with external immigration counsel.
• Coordinate with employees and internal stakeholders to provide day-to-day program support, resolve escalations and promote timely case progression.
• Advise HR business partners, talent acquisition professionals and hiring managers on mobility policies, available options and potential solutions.
• Partner with global and local vendors, monitor service delivery and promote compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Support mobility-related projects and program initiatives as needed.

Role Summary

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Global Mobility Manager to provide maternity-leave coverage for an anticipated 14-month assignment. This role is hybrid - 3 days/week onsite in Foster City, CA.

The Global Mobility Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for employee relocation and mobility activity across the Americas. This consultant will manage day-to-day U.S. relocation cases, guide employees through the mobility process and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

The role requires deep knowledge of relocation, immigration, mobility tax, payroll and residential real estate processes. The consultant must be able to translate complex mobility matters into practical, understandable guidance while delivering a high level of employee support.

• Familiarity with the U.S. residential real estate purchase process.
• Strong ability to communicate complex relocation, tax and immigration matters to employees and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with relocation management companies, immigration counsel and other external vendors.
• Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong judgment, learning agility and the ability to approach sensitive employee situations with empathy.
• Ability to remain constructive and solutions-oriented when managing challenging or time-sensitive cases.
