Job summary

Numotion is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. You will work in both shop and on-site settings, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction through proper maintenance and timely documentation.

The role requires hands-on proficiency with hand and power tools, two years of mechanical experience, and a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or minimum one year of related experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience. Experience with medical equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair.
• Basic knowledge of Word Processing, Email, and Internet for completing documentation and communication.
• Valid State Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and in the field.
• Maintain rental and stock equipment, keeping it clean, organized, and in reliable working order.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop/warehouse.
• Maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safe operating condition; keep them clean and organized.
• Receive, store, and ship parts for equipment with accurate inventory tracking.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely, including necessary signatures and reports.
• Educate customers and caregivers on proper use, care, and safety of the equipment.
• Perform minor fittings and adjustments to customize equipment for each user.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in required in-service training to stay updated with industry practices.
