Job description

Experience: Previous experience in radiologic imaging is preferred; mobile X-ray experience is a plus. Paid training will be provided!

Education:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and state licensure as required.

Type: Full-time or Part-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Weekend Shift, 8 am-midnight with overnight call.

Job Description:

• Perform X-ray imaging procedures on patients using mobile radiology equipment.
• Travel to various healthcare facilities or patient locations to provide diagnostic services.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain mobile radiology equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly.
• Implement and adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, healthcare providers, and yourself.
• Set up temporary barriers as needed to control radiation exposure in non-traditional environments.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging documentation and equipment logs.
• Provide excellent patient care and ensure a professional and compassionate bedside manner.

Position Requirements:

• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse healthcare settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
• Ability to lift and transport mobile radiology equipment.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including patient homes, long-term care facilities, and clinics.
• Capacity to stand, bend, and move for extended periods during imaging procedures.
