Job summary

Wound Care Specialists, P.A. is seeking a skilled NP or PA to provide advanced mobile wound care in patients' homes and community settings. This full-time role emphasizes independent clinical management with close collaboration to physicians and home health teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree, NP/PA board certification, and 2+ years of wound care experience. A valid license and ability to travel locally are essential; no DEA responsibilities are involved.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP/PA license in your state
• NP/PA Board Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Wound care experience strongly preferred (WCC or similar certification a plus)
• Ability to perform sharp debridement or willingness to complete training

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound evaluations in home-based settings
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and complex wounds
• Perform bedside procedures including debridement, incision and drainage, suturing, biopsy
• Develop and implement individualized wound treatment plans
• Coordinate care with home health nurses and specialists
• Order and interpret non-controlled medications, labs, imaging, and vascular studies
• Provide patient/caregiver education on wound care and prevention
• Document thoroughly in EMR per Medicare and payer guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement and outcomes tracking
