Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our service team in the Spokane area. The role focuses on proficient repair and service of customer equipment, maintaining communication with customers and management, and representing the company in all interactions.

Key duties include equipment repair, ongoing skills training, billing accuracy, and following service procedures. Travel within assigned territories with company vehicle will be required, and safety is emphasized along with

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent Organizational Time Management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
• Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Raymond Level 1 Certified or working towards that goal, if applicable.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with no more than the allowable level of points on record, if applicable.
• Maintain tools and adapt to additional tools as duties require.
• Must be able to take direction and work as a team.
• Must have working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Must have mechanical abilities.
• Willing to learn quickly and perform accurately and neatly with flexibility.
• Motivated to continuous self-development and training.

Responsibilities

• Repair all types of equipment that Raymond West sells and services.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Follow all Service Department procedures.
• Communicate with assigned Field Supervisor.
• Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, accurate and orderly fashion.
• Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
• Have the necessary tools to perform repair and scheduled service work.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle.
• Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable.
• Always represent the entire company.
• Pass Raymond Certification and re-certification if applicable.
• Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas.
• Report accidents whether self or customer.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Must coordinate all overtime with assigned supervisor.
• Must follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
• Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety.
• Must be willing to work out of town as necessary.
• Establish a positive rapport with customers.
• Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service Supervisors or Managers.
