Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to deliver in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets across Portland, Hillsboro, Beaverton, and surrounding areas. You will work on the road, independently yet supported by a mentorship-focused team, with time to listen to families and honor each pet’s story.

Choose from 2–5 day schedules, including self-managed options, and enjoy a generous base salary with quarterly bonuses, no non-compete, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS veterinary degree and eligible for license.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Flexible weekend schedule aligned to life.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check and driving record review required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care to pets.
• Practice independently with mentorship and support from Heartstrings team.
• Spend time with families on living room floors, answering questions with kindness.
• Schedule includes 2–5 days per week with self-managed options.
