Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust and replace automotive systems, including electrical wiring and charging systems.

Earn while you learn with paid training: 10 weeks Basic Training and 13 weeks Advanced Individual Training, plus ongoing tuition assistance, health care benefits, and retirement options for part-time

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust and replace vehicle systems and components.
