Job summary
The Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to keep wheeled military vehicles ready for the road. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations in the field and shop.
Duties include inspecting, servicing, repairing, testing, and replacing components; plus electrical work on wiring harnesses and charging systems. Training is paid and includes tuition assistance and benefits.
Qualifications
- Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
- Interest in automotive engines and how they work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems
- Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems
