Job summary

Vellum Health seeks a dedicated Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to join its mobile healthcare team across Texas, focusing on assessment, placement, and management of vascular access devices for IV therapy.

The ideal candidate has 1.5–2 years of vascular access RN experience, Texas RN licensure, and strong clinical and communication skills. Travel within a 100-mile radius of home base is required to serve SNFs, hospitals, and clinics.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required.
• 1.5–2 years of vascular access RN experience.
• Proficiency with PICC, midlines and peripheral IVs.
• Strong assessment, troubleshooting and infection control skills.
• Excellent communication and patient/family education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform insertion, maintenance, and management of vascular access devices (PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs).
• Assess patients to determine the most appropriate vascular access device.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and device care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists for optimal care.
• Document procedures accurately.
• Identify and manage complications such as infection, thrombosis, and occlusions.
