Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Sr Mobile Trailer Repair Technician - DOT Management Level to perform DOT inspections, PM, diagnostics and mobile repairs across a nationwide field network.

The role offers an hourly base pay rate and the opportunity to operate a company-issued service vehicle, with a $5,000 New Hire Bonus and potential additional compensation depending on location and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment in a mobile/field environment.
• Welding trailers, fabrication and welding lift gates in a mobile environment.
• Complete DOT forms and document findings on repair orders using company devices.
• Manage parts inventory and operate the company-issued service vehicle.
• Ensure safety procedures and environmental policies are followed.
• Respond to call-center dispatched unscheduled service and maintenance requests.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
