Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Mobile Trailer Technician & Welder to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on trailers and equipment in the field. You will weld, fabricate, and troubleshoot a variety of trailer systems while maintaining documentation through our TRAIT app and RO forms.

The role offers a daytime schedule, a home service vehicle, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years in related field.
• DOT regulatory knowledge and safety training expected.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools for required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trailers/equipment in mobile/field environment.
• Weld trailers, fabricate and weld lift gates in mobile setting.
• Document repairs, parts used and findings via RO with mobile device and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with routine safety checks.
