Job summary

pacetransportation is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial trailers at customer locations. You will serve as the company representative in the field, ensuring safe, efficient service and outstanding customer relationships.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics of braking and electrical systems, DOT documentation, and on-site repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in trailer repair preferred.
• Previous trailer repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• DOT Annual Inspection Certification preferred.
• Brake Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on commercial trailers.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brake, suspension, wheel-end, electrical and air systems.
• Perform DOT inspections and complete required documentation.
• Repair or replace damaged trailer components including floors, roofs, side panels, and frames.
• Conduct welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as required.
• Travel to customer locations to perform scheduled and emergency repairs.
