Job summary

Cox Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and equipment in the field.

You will work independently, manage a service truck, document work with the TRAIT app on an iOS device, and handle parts and safety checks while maintaining high standards of service across a broad fleet. This role offers weekly pay, safety bonuses, and a path for credentialed growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years in a related field is common.
• DOT certifications or ASE certifications preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings in the RO via TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Operate and maintain company-issued service truck and tools.
