Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site assignments, performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. The role involves working with trailers and equipment, documenting work in the TRAIT app, and collaborating with senior technicians to learn advanced skills.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with trailer experience, DOT compliance readiness, and the ability to manage parts and schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of trailer-related experience.
• DOT/regulatory compliance knowledge and CDL preferred.
• Must possess and supply hand tools and pass DOT-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document work, upload RO photos and notes using company TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and repair trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines and related systems.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and on time.
• Maintain and operate company service truck and perform safety checks.
