Job summary
Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales is seeking a Mobile Trailer Mechanic who travels to customer sites to perform repairs and maintenance on trailers. The role requires hands-on service, diagnostic ability, and adherence to safety standards.
The position involves inspecting components, replacing tires, reading service bulletins, and completing all required paperwork. A valid driver’s license and a pre-employment physical/drug screen are required.
Qualifications
- Mobile Technician or related experience required.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Regular attendance and reliable availability are required.
Responsibilities
- Services and repairs different areas of a trailer including brakes, lights, seals, and other maintenance as indicated by work orders.
- Repairs and replaces damaged tires; rotate tires as needed.
- Inspects trailers for defects according to applicable specifications.
- Completes inbound/outbound documentation and final paperwork (PM sheet, annual inspection, PD sheet, end of job report).
- Reads service bulletins to stay updated on products and services.
- Reads and follows written instructions; prepares written reports.
