Description

Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) is currently seeking part-time or full-time Mobile Therapists to work in our IBHS certified program. This position offers a flexible schedule.

Position Summary: A Mobile Therapist (MT) provides individual and family therapy to children. An MT assists families in managing mental health needs and behavior problems, develops crisis plans with involved professionals and the family. This position can be full-time or part-time depending on the applicant's availability.

Summary of Essential Position Functions:

  • Provide weekly individual and family therapy interventions
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Complete paperwork within policy timeframes
  • Attend monthly treatment team meetings with child, family, and team
  • Participate in interagency meetings
  • Provide services within authorized hours per week
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Follow all Progressions School policies
  • Complete 16 hours of training annually
  • If not licensed as a Psychologist, attend monthly supervision with a licensed Psychologist
  • Travel to and from school sites to perform services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Applicable

Qualifications

Education and Experience: To perform this role successfully, candidates must meet the following:

  • Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Clinical Psychologist, or Clinical Social Worker, OR
  • Graduate Mental Health Degree with at least one year of full-time paid experience in a CAASP system or mental health agency working with children and adolescents, Post Graduate Degree
  • Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI, and State Criminal checks
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Technical/Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in individual and family therapy
  • Knowledge of mental health systems
  • Ability to intervene and control agitated students through non-physical interventions; hazards include exposure to disease and risk of injury from psychiatric patients
