Malvern offers expert and caring behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.

We are currently hiring Outpatient Therapists to join our Trevose Outpatient Services Department. Our Trevose office serves Bucks County and Philadelphia County communities in:

  • Outpatient Therapy
  • School-Based Outpatient Therapy
  • IBHS
  • Psychiatric Services

Position Summary: The Outpatient Therapist provides individual, family, and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. The therapist will assist individuals in managing mental health needs and behavioral problems, promoting independence. This position can be full-time or part-time depending on the applicant's availability, with a possibility of hybrid work at the discretion of the program director.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Provide therapy (individual, family, or group) regularly to clients
  • Complete all paperwork within policy timeframes
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Make referrals to community resources
  • Transfer skills to clients to promote independence
  • Comply with state regulations and training requirements
  • Participate in supervision within policy timeframes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • This position requires individuals who are client-focused, team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Dependability, problem-solving, organizational skills, and compliance focus are essential. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A licensed mental health clinician (psychiatrist, psychologist, counselor, therapist, social worker) with a graduate degree requiring a clinical/mental health practicum, OR
  • A Master's level candidate with a related degree and practicum experience, OR
  • A Bachelor's level candidate with a related degree and relevant experience.
  • Experience in individual and family therapy
  • Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources
  • Ability to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions; awareness of risks related to exposure to diseases and potential physical injury from psychiatric patients.

Credentials and Technical Skills:

  • Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI, State Criminal, CPR, and First Aid
