Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking skilled technicians to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, and related equipment on light-duty vehicles and commercial fleets. You will perform 12V/24V wiring, test systems, and document work with notes and photos, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have ASE/I-CAR certifications, strong electrical knowledge, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
• Occasionally work weekends or adjusted schedules to support customer projects, fleet installations, or business needs.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects, including occasional travel outside your assigned market based on business needs.
