Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, and sensors across fleet assets. You will work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, and trailers, performing 12V/24V wiring and ensuring clean installations.
Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience, with knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
- Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
- Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
- Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
- Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
