Job summary

Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District #47 is seeking a Mobile Technician II at the CORE Administration Center to support classroom technology and devices. You will provide on-going end-user support for Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, and other wireless devices, and coordinate repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, be detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining device inventories while ensuring network security and smooth operation across schools.

Qualifications

• Education: at least 30 semester hours college credit preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows, Chrome OS, iOS, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with troubleshooting experience.
• Positive interpersonal communication and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and students with technology in the classroom.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for PCs, printers, projectors, and devices.
• Repair or coordinate repairs on Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, and mobile devices.
• Maintain technology inventory and assist with device security.
• Assist with e-waste and recycling tasks.

Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 currently has (1) opening for the Mobile Technician II position. The rate of pay is $48,000 annual salary, 40hrs per week. Medical benefits. The Mobile Technician II provides on-going support for staff and students with specialization on mobile devices such as Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, and other wireless devices.
The ideal candidate will:

• Support teachers and students with functionality of technology devices in the classroom
• Provide first level of support and troubleshoot PCs, printers, projectors and other forms technology
• Repair or coordinate repairs on Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, and other mobile devices
• Provide assistance to teachers and students where it relates with use of technology
• Maintain technology inventory for the building(s) assigned
• Install or update apps / software as directed
• Be proactive, communicate and escale issues to the next level of support
• Assist in maintaining a high level of security on the district network
• Perform other tasks or services consistent with the job goal of this position that a supervisor may assign.
• Manage the Technology Department storage closet, assets, and inventory.
• Assist with school-building e-waste and recycling tasks.
• Ensure the mobile device teaching kit is fully functional and equipped at all Elementary Schools.
• Cover other Mobile Technicians as needed.
