Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate service and repair of tractors, trailers, and related equipment at customer sites. Work is conducted outside the shop using a mobile service truck, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

The role requires outdoor work, the ability to troubleshoot ABS/electrical systems, and mentoring of trainees. Signing bonus may apply for a limited period.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21+ with 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Clean motor vehicle record and able to supply basic tools.
• DOT and FHWA inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Troubleshoot ABS and electrical issues and perform basic structural repairs.
• Operate the mobile service truck safely and document work orders.
• Onboard and mentor tractor technician trainees and support teams.
• Follow safety requirements and complete all paperwork accurately.

Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment. Under routine supervision, this role works outside of the shop, servicing equipment at customer sites or rail yards using our mobile service truck.Job Description:$1500 sign on bonus available for limited time.Key Responsibilities :Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs, including tire replacements, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structural repairs on tractor or trailer equipmentTroubleshoot and repair ABS systemProperly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventoryAssist with the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician traineesFollow all safety requirements while onsite and at customer locationsAccurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established proceduresProperly document damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairsDemonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipmentPatch holes in trailer or container side panels and roofsPerform annual AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections under direct supervisionQualifications:Minimum Qualifications :18 years of age for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21 years of age for equipment over 10,000 lbs with 2 years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalentAND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiencesPossess a clean motor vehicle record per J.B.
