J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician II.

You will perform intermediate maintenance and repair on tractors, trailers, and power equipment at customer sites using a mobile service truck. This role may require working outdoors across shifts and locations, with opportunities for career advancement. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and hands-on repair skills, including ABS diagnostics, welding, and basic metalwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years for light equipment or 21 for heavier with 2 years of semi-tractor/semi-trailer maintenance.
• Clean motor vehicle record per company guidelines.
• Own basic tools or use toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes preferred.
• Welding and forklift certifications are a plus.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, or power equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems and perform mid-level repairs.
• Operate the mobile service truck and manage truck inventory.
• Mentor and onboard tractor technician trainees.
• Complete work orders and document repairs per procedures.
• Patch holes in trailer or container panels and perform inspections.

Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment.
