Job summary

Subway is seeking a Tech Lead, Mobile to own the technical direction of franchisee-facing mobile apps built on React Native and Expo. You will mentor a team, drive architecture, and partner with product/design/backend to deliver scalable experiences.

You will guide AI-assisted development and own the mobile release process across App Store and Google Play, ensuring performance, security, and observability. The role requires 5+ years of mobile development, strong RN/JS/Expo skills, and proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of mobile app development experience, with 2+ years in leadership or lead developer roles.
• Deep expertise in React Native with Expo (EAS Build/Submit/Update).
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, Redux/RTK, RESTful APIs, and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and architecture for Subway's mobile apps and roadmap.
• Mentor developers, perform code reviews, and maintain engineering excellence.
• Leverage AI coding tools while guiding responsible adoption and validation.
• Collaborate with product/design/backend to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
• Own release processes across App Store and Google Play; ensure observability, security, and CI/CD.
