Job summary

Subway is seeking a Tech Lead, Mobile to serve as the senior technical authority for franchisee-facing apps built with React Native and Expo (iOS and Android). You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with product, design and backend teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality mobile experiences.

You will leverage AI coding tools responsibly to accelerate development, define the mobile roadmap, and own the end-to-end mobile release process, including CI/CD,

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management and scalable app design.
• Experience shipping production apps with App Store and Google Play submissions.
• Familiarity with native iOS/Android build tooling to debug cross-platform issues.
• Experience with offline-first data sync in low/no-connectivity environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture and development of Subway's franchisee-facing mobile apps; drive roadmap and ensure scalability.
• Mentor a team of developers; perform code reviews and promote engineering excellence.
• Use AI coding tools as accelerators while reviewing AI outputs for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with product/design/backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences; enforce best practices and testing.
• Oversee mobile release process across App Store and Google Play, including CI/CD and observability.
