Job summary

Subway is seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer - React Native to build and improve the Subway app on iOS and Android, used by millions to order, manage loyalty, locate restaurants, and pay securely.

You will work with designers, product managers, and engineers to ship fast, reliable features while maintaining performance and quality, contributing to an ongoing migration toward the new architecture and best practices.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building cross‑platform mobile apps with React Native and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Redux and mobile performance optimization.
• Experience shipping apps to App Store or Google Play.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the mobile experience, including ordering, cart, checkout, and loyalty.
• Write clean TypeScript with automated checks on every commit.
• Integrate app with backend services, APIs, and authentication.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams in sprints.
• Ensure performance, stability, and quality through testing and reviews.
