Job summary

STERIS is seeking a Sterile Instrument Repair Specialist for a mobile service role in North Carolina. You will inspect and repair surgical instruments in mobile trucks, hospital environments, and repair labs, with extensive on-the-road training provided.

The role supports multiple sites across the territory with flexibility for early/late shifts and travel. Entry-level candidates are welcome and will be trained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience in repair or related fields.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overnight.
• DOT medical/physical exam, valid driver's license, and vaccination readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs using grinding, buffing wheels, and soldering tools.
• Assess instruments for function and wear; restore with precision.
• Operate from a mobile repair truck and visit hospitals; travel as needed.
• Support multiple sites within the assigned territory per service agreements.
