Job summary

STERIS is seeking a Device Repair Technician to inspect, repair, and refurbish surgical instruments in a lab-based setting. You will deliver timely, quality repairs to meet compliance standards in a production facility as part of a high-performing team.

Your responsibilities include performing basic to intermediate repairs, testing mechanisms, replacing defective parts, reassembling devices, and ensuring conformance to specifications while adhering to safety policies and ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in repair or related field.
• Experience with small tools and basic mechanical repair is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and handle up to 150-pound carts.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs of surgical devices/instruments to specifications.
• Identify problems, test mechanisms, replace defective parts and request parts.
• Reassemble devices, test assembly for conformance, and follow SWI and ISO requirements.
• Maintain safety, organize workspace, and support on-site customer interactions.
