Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in special education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaboration.
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum for assigned students.
• Ability to use technology to communicate, plan instruction, and manage data.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals and priorities.
• Participates in the development of students’ IEPs and implements them.
• Schedules and participates in IEP meetings.
• Uses a variety of instructional strategies tailored to students’ needs.
• Monitors student progress with data and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Collaborates with teachers and staff to maximize student achievement.
• Maintains a safe, organized learning environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or supervisor.
