Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Truck HVAC & APU Technician to diagnose, repair, and service transport refrigeration systems on commercial trucks and trailers. You will work with Thermo King and Carrier units, perform HVAC and APU diagnostics, and ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant regulations.

This role offers on-site and mobile service opportunities across the Southeast. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EPA certifications, and 3+ years’ experience with transport refrigeration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• EPA Type II (608) and Type I (609) certifications required.
• 3+ years of experience repairing transport refrigeration systems.
• Direct experience with Thermo King or Carrier units preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration systems on commercial trucks and trailers.
• Service Thermo King and Carrier units per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose refrigeration components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant circuits.
• Perform truck HVAC diagnosis, maintenance, and repair.
• Repair APU electrical, HVAC, diesel engines, and charging systems.
• Read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic software and service information.
• Inspect and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, belts, hoses, batteries, starters, and alternators.
• Handle refrigerants per EPA regulations and perform safe recovery.
