Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Mobile Service Technician II to perform intermediate service and repair of tractors, trailers, and power equipment at customer sites. You will work outside the shop, using a mobile service truck, with duties including ABS diagnostics, welding, and on-site safety compliance.

The role requires outdoor work, multi-shift flexibility, and a path toward technician career advancement within the company’s TCA program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of semi-tractor/semi-trailer maintenance experience or military equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to perform DOT and FHWA inspections and manage air brakes.
• Proven welding and basic diagnostic skills; willing to work outdoors across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems and electrical diagnostics.
• Operate mobile service truck and document work orders accurately.
• Assist with onboarding tractor technician trainees and safety compliance.

Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment.
