The role requires 3+ years of mobile mechanic experience, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and the ability to operate in all weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
• 3+ years experience as mobile mechanic in industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems independently.
• Welding, fabricating and general machine repairs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on sawmill machinery including conveyors, blades, hydraulics, motors and diesel engines.
• Respond to on-site mechanical issues and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and identify issues; develop solutions for safe, efficient operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication.
