Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking a Rental Power Generator Field Technician (Rotational) in Midland, TX. The role involves performing high-quality repair service on generator equipment, traveling to designated work locations on rotating schedules (e.g., 14 days on/7 days off) and lodging as required.

Responsibilities include completing jobs, handling paperwork, disassembling/assembling components, troubleshooting, and providing quotes with management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• CDL preferred and ability to obtain any required licenses/certifications.
• Ability to mentor Rental team members.
• Must possess adequate tooling for duties.
• Knowledge of database, internet and manufacturing software and order processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend repairs and perform all Rental and engine repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
