Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group, is hiring a Service Technician – Mobile Refrigeration to perform mobile mechanical repairs at customer sites. You will receive on-the-job training to progress toward Service Technician status.

Responsibilities include preventive and scheduled maintenance on equipment with a mobile service vehicle, repairing refrigeration, fuel and electrical systems, promoting mobile service to customers, troubleshooting, and

Qualifications

• Requires good working knowledge of Carrier and Thermo King unit operations.
• Must be a self-starter and able to manage his/her own time.
• Requires ability to effectively communicate with customers relative to mobile service.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative, contract and scheduled maintenance on customer equipment utilizing a mobile service vehicle.
• Able to repair basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems and general maintenance.
• Promotes and sells mobile service to potential customers.
• Performs trouble shooting on unit problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
